OTTO PIZZA, 576 Congress, Portland, ME
March 6, 2024
Greeting, Arts-Aplenty readers!
I traveled to Portland, Maine, today with artist Tom Glover, who's about to have a major exhibit of his spectacular abstracts at Cove Street Arts, just off the Marginal Way. Afterwards, we walked downtown and had lunch at OTTO PIZZA on Congress Street, just down the street from the Portland Museum of Art. Look for the No. 576!
OTTO PIZZA -- it was my very first encounter with the place -- is blessed with wonderful "Old Town" ambiance, a wide array of delicious pizzas, colorful, authentically nostalgic decor, and friendly, upbeat service. ALEAH-- also known around town and at work as A. R. T. -- brings positive, delightfully unconventional energy to the OTTO. She's not a Robot cast off from some cookie cutter Franchise; she's a genuine, down-to-earth- FRIENDLY BEING! See her in several of the photos (below). Stop by! The place is arty and unpretentious. I left there today feeling fully warmed and nourished, loving downtown Portland all the more because of the time I spent there. I've no doubt YOU will, too! GO OTTO!
